Get your build scripts from
https://github.com/arcolinuxb
with git clone

You just want Budgie.
But Gnome needs to be installed as well
to get a complete desktop.

 BYOI procedure

  1. git clone https://github.com/arcolinuxb/arco-budgie-minimal
  2. change packages.x86_64 if you want to
  3. run script 30
  4. no “3 x yes” needed anymore since 18.9.5
  5. test iso in virtualbox

The first time you login
select budgie at the top right
do not forget
or
you WILL login to gnome

Packages.x86_64 can be edited

What will be installed on your iso is defined in the packages.x86_64 file. If you want to exclude or include packages then you will need to edit that file. We will keep updating packages.x86_64 in time. It will differ from the video in the future.

Never run the building script with sudo just
./30-build-the-iso... or ./31-build-the-iso ...

Run this script always in bash (standard)
NOT IN ZSH

We will use Xfce as the delivery system for your desktop.
The livecd will not have your chosen desktop.
You need to install it to see it.

If you want to autologin
change /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf
autologin-session=your desktop

You can find the name of your desktop in
/usr/share/xsessions
