We are creating a series of YouTube videos under the “edu-“ label to guide users through the migration from ArcoLinux to Arch Linux. These tutorials aim to make the transition process smoother by explaining each step clearly and providing practical examples. Whether you’re switching to gain more control or to learn vanilla Arch, our edu- videos are here to support your journey.

ArcoLinux has stopped

Teaching never stops—because learning is a lifelong journey for all of us.

How to create your own ArcoLinuxB iso and include xxx – creation of ArcoLinuxB Dusk

Dusk is certainly a nice addition to the list of desktops.

https://github.com/bakkeby/dusk

You need to get all the info and support from the developer himself.

We did arcofy the pkgbuild a bit so that we have our own ArcoLinux keybindings in there.

Compare our config folder with the one from the link and see our changes.

Making an iso for just one package arcolinux-dusk-git is a bit much. You have to draw a line somewhere.

What if we find other forks from other desktops shall we create for every single one a new iso?

That is where the ATT or ArcoLinux Tweak Tool comes in handy.

We will however use Dusk as a means to make another ArcoLinuxB tutorial in order to explain workflow, packages, decisions, choices, …

Source code of the video can be found here:

The github will not be maintained.

One time whatif.

The iso will not be uploaded to the internet.

It will fail over time. Compare with meld with a functional iso github.
